See below for a detailed itinerary of our full-weekend workshops.
Arrive around 5:30 for supper and early bird jam.
Morning classes begin around 9:30, going until lunch. After lunch there is more class time, with the late afternoon free for time to “experience Floyd”. Supper is not provided Friday so our guests can visit local restaurants and be at the Floyd Country store by 6:30 to enjoy the Friday Night Jamboree. When possible, we will have the students who are interested help the band play on stage for the dancers.
Again classes start around 9:30, with a lunch break. Depending on weather and interest, Mac often takes students on a fairly easy hike up Buffalo Mountain in the afternoon for spectacular views and to appreciate the ancient aspect of our geography. Or a driving tour may be taken to some of the nearby famous rock churches.
After supper here, we again go back to the Floyd Country Store for entertainment provided by Anna Roberts and Elizabeth LaPrelle in their monthly live old time radio show.
Morning class followed by brunch around 12, then those who are interested can go back to the Floyd Country Store for the Sunday afternoon jam, which begins at 1:30.
During class times, there will be opportunities for “one on one” instruction time with Mac and/or Jenny.
